SafeComp workshop day

9th September 2025, 09.00 – 17.00: SafetyNXT will be part of the offered Workshops

The "Safety Next" workshop will take place at the 44th SafeComp conference in Copenhagen, where we will delve into the new frontiers of safety-critical computing systems!

This year’s edition of SafeComp presents a unique opportunity to explore and discuss the pressing challenges associated with safety-critical computing systems. As the capabilities of (semi-)autonomous cyber-physical systems (CPS) expand, safety becomes increasingly relevant, especially as these systems interact with humans in various roles and operate in more open environments. The theme for 2025 is “Managing Safety in an Era of a Software Defined Computing Continuum.”

SafeComp is an annual international conference that showcases the latest advancements, industrial experiences, and emerging trends in the fields of safety, security, and reliability of critical computer applications. With its single-track format and no parallel sessions, SafeComp facilitates easy networking and the exchange of insights on innovative methods, approaches, and practical solutions.

As the complexity of software-defined computing systems increases, safety engineering must carefully investigate the implications of these advancements. These systems are becoming more interconnected, engaging with supporting digital infrastructures, and incorporating AI alongside advanced perception capabilities.

Since its inception in 1979 by the European Workshop on Industrial Computer Systems, Technical Committee 7 on Reliability, Safety, and Security (EWICS TC7), SafeComp has played a pivotal role in advancing the state-of-the-art in the dependable application of computers within safety-related and safety-critical systems.

We look forward to welcoming you to SafeComp 2025 in Stockholm, hosted by KTH Royal Institute of Technology!
